Selam Tsegaye is the Vice President, Senior Construction Cost Estimator at Parkview Financial, where she is responsible for performing cost estimation for the complete bidding of commercial projects throughout the United States. She also assists in drawing and constructability reviews, preparing the take-off of all quantities and costs, and producing detailed estimates for bidding purposes.

 

Prior to joining Parkview, she served as a civil engineer for more than six years, working for builders on commercial construction projects. In those roles, she analyzed drawings, specs, and proposals to prepare cost estimates; prepared bid documents; prepared detailed quantity takeoff; maintained weekly site visits; prepared reports on the progress of projects; documented change orders; and resolved cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information, among other responsibilities.

Selam received a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Bahir Dar University. She is experienced in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and RsMeans among other software programs.

Outside of work, Selam spends most of her time outdoors and enjoys living a healthy and active lifestyle. On weekends she likes to hike and spend quality time with family and friends.
